NEW MEXICO- A couple of airports in New Mexico will receive grants to extend their runways.
Doña Ana County Airport will receive a little over $2 million and the Los Alamos County Airport will receive a little under $1.5 million.
The grant money has been awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The runway extension is designed to increase the safety of planes landing and taking off at both airports.
