NEW MEXICO - New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson says 82 National Guard troops are headed to the border.
The soldiers completed training and are now ready to work alongside Border Patrol agents.
The troops are part of President Obama's order to send more than 1,000 troops along the US - Mexico border.
