Custom and Border Protection Officers working at the Santa Teresa Port of Entry seized something that might surprise you...more than 200 pounds of Mexican cheese.

The seizure was made last Friday at 8:30 in the evening.

A pickup truck was crossing into the U.S. when CBP Officials found the cheese in some coolers.

It was determined that the amount of cheese was large enough to be a commercial-sized import therefore it was confiscated.

The 50 year-old driver was issued a $300 civil penalty.
