21 minutes: Three alleged drunk drivers arrested early Monday morning

El Paso Police arrested fourteen people over the weekend, three of those arrests came within 21-minutes of each other early Monday morning.

EPPD arrested three people for DWI beginning at 2:29 a.m. and 2:50 a.m. early Monday morning. The first case occurred at Gateway and Yarbrough, where the officer observed the driver go up onto the curb. The second occurred three minutes later at 2:32 a.m. after a crash on Paseo Del Norte and Northwestern. The driver in that incident was arrested and charged with DWI with a blood alcohol above .15.

The third arrest happened at 2:50 a.m. in the Pebble Hills area where the driver was involved in a crash on Escarpa St. He was also arrested and charged with DWI with a blood alcohol level above .15.

In total there were eleven additional DWI arrests between midnight early Saturday morning and 11:59 p.m. Sunday evening. Of those eleven cases, six were charged with DWI with a blood alcohol content above .15, four were charged with DWI, and one was charged with driving under in influence minor.
