The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) is once again hosting a video public service announcement contest for local high school students.

Interested students are asked to create a 30-second video public service announcement (PSA).

This year’s theme is “ESD Works for Me.”

The PSAs must focus on the array of services provided by the ESD, such as curbside recycling, citizen collection stations, and animal adoptions.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive trophies and have their PSAs televised on City 15, the City’s broadcast cable channel.

The winning videos will also be streamed at recycleelpaso.org.

There is no fee to enter.

Winning students will be presented with their awards at a regular meeting of the El Paso Mayor and City Council in the spring of 2014.

All entries must be mailed or delivered to:

City of El Paso Environmental Services Department
Attn: Daniel Marin

El Paso, Texas 79907

Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 21.
