Former County Judge and attorney Luther Jones has agreed with U.S. attorneys to pay $250,000 in restitution for corruption charges he pleaded guilty to this year, according to documents in the U.S. District Clerk's office.
They've reached a stipulation, that Jones will pay the $250,000 through the sale of two of his condos on Stanton St. and his half of land ownership on a property in Culberson County.
The Probation Department will have to approve any sale Jones makes on the properties.
Jones pleaded guilty to charges that he defrauded the Ysleta Independent School District while working for ACCESS Healthsource, a health insurance provider.
He was sentenced last month to 63 months in prison.
