EL PASO — City Manager Joyce Wilson has a new assignment: scour the streets of downtown, looking for as many as two thousand new parking spots for frustrated commuters looking for a place to leave their cars and trucks during business hours.
City Council approved Representative Courtney Niland's idea to the extent that the city manager will make a survey and report back. The new parking spaces, if any, would go at diagonals to the street curbs, accomodating more cars per block.
