EL PASO- The next 40 days of Lent mean big business for local restaurants.
Any restaurant that serves fish tend to order more seafood and hire extra staff this time of the year. Catholics that attend mass weekly or more, nearly 90 percent of them will give up meat for Lent and restaurants that serve fish always look forward to the extra business this time of the year.
Not surprising, next month a dip in sales is expected for the seafood items, but beef sales will be back up.
