Moustache that is...
El Paso- The month of November is just around the corner and you may not have known this, but it's being renamed, unofficially to Movember.
Whether it's called a mo, a mustache or a hairy upper lip, men all over the world have signed up to grow one starting November 1st, excuse me, Movember 1st. The idea of not shaving for the next 30 days is going to change the face of men's health. The lack of razor usage next month should get men to talk more openly about serious health issues like prostate cancer and testicular cancer, but growing a mo will also spark conversations about men's general health issues like cholesterol and blood pressure, dental and eye visits and mental health management.
Those that sign up to grow and show their mo next month are known as mo bros and a local magazine is sponsoring a party next week to kick off the month long event. The City Magazine is throwing a party Thursday Movember 8, 2012 to kick start a month of all things mo and the mo bro's health. STAR CITY KITCHEN AND BAR 2603 N. Mesa
from 6PM-10PM.
Don't wait until you're sick to see a doctor. 1 in 3 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This fact should highlight the importance of seeing a doctor regularly.
