Several People Shot Outside Empire State Building, Gunman Dead

NEW YORK — At least 10 people were been shot in front of the Empire State Building, according to the New York Office of Emergency Management.

The New York Police Department said police shot and killed the gunman.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 9:00a.m. EST.

Authorities have closed several streets around the iconic landmark at 34th Street and 5th Avenue.
