The National Alliance on Mental Illness in El Paso (NAMI) is a grassroots, non-profit organization. Our mission is to advocate at all levels to ensure that persons affected by mental illness receive services they need and deserve in a timely fashion. Starting on January 26th, NAMI is offering a FREE 12-week course called Family-to-Family. This course is for family caregivers of individuals with severe mental illness. Caregivers will receive current information about schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder (manic depression), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, co-occurring brain disorders and addictive disorders. If you or your family would like to learn how to gain empathy, acquire strategies for handling crises, and learn how to cope, call the NAMI office at (915) 534-5478 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up! Over 300,000 family members have graduated from this program nationwide.
