Description

New Mexico State Historian Rick Hendricks will read from his book entitled “The Casads: A Pioneer Family of the Mesilla Valley” in the 2nd floor northeast Living Room. Hendricks worked in NMSU’s Archives & Special Collections Dept. and also taught Latin American History. A signing will follow the reading.

At 2p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, NMSU Archivist and Associate Professor Martha Shipman Andrews will read from her title, “Out of the Shadows: The Women of Southern New Mexico.” Andrews has won two 2009 NM Books Awards and the Centennial Award for one of the “100 Best Books of NM.” A signing will follow the reading.
